Comfortable and Convenient

During my recent stay at Safestay, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable bed and the overall convenience of the location. The historic building added a charming touch to the hostel, and I appreciated the efforts made to preserve its history. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. Being in such a central location meant that I was able to easily explore the attractions in York, all within a short walk from the hostel. I had a positive experience at Safestay York Micklegate and would recommend it to others.

The location was great. The building itself is very historic and interesting. The staff is friendly and the other residents were also great. Not much noise. Very comfortable and clean.

There are no lifts in this hostel so better pack light :) or leave your stuff in the free luggage storage area and just get the stuff you need for the day.

Location, not far from train station & city. Not expensive. Clean big hostel. Clean room & shower & bed. Breakfast, and u don't have to clean your dishes for breakfast haha. Free WiFi. Wall charge at my bed.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was great, within walking distance to attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and the beds were comfy.

The facilities were excellent, for a backpackers it was easily the best I have stayed in - easily! Beautiful building. Great facilities, great location.

Hmmm, my only recommendation would be to put curtains around each bunk for a bit more privacy.

The location of this place is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the train station and with a great lunch spot right nearby.

I like this hostel, it is near the railway station, and I can walk to city centre within 15 mins. The decor is really beautiful, and it has a lot of function rooms,such as movie room, internet room and TV room....the room is clean.

Excellent position, close to Rail Station and City Centre. Towels changed daily (family room).

Check in was a bit chaotic (number of guests and one receptionist). Extractor for other rooms bathroom were a little noisy.

Amazing staff, helpful with suggestions and train assistance. Clean bedding, great privacy curtains, and friendly atmosphere. Personal space with curtains and convenient reading light. Good value breakfast.

It is a recently refurbished building and offers a variety of accommodation at very reasonable rates. A class above the usual backpacker hotel.

Loved the decor and the large beamed rooms. Bar was great and location for York city centre brilliant. Above all the hostel is just excellent value for money.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, creating a comfortable and pleasant environment. The location of the hotel was also a major advantage, with key attractions within walking distance. the comfortable beds with privacy curtains offered a cozy and enjoyable sleeping experience.

There were a few aspects that I did not particularly enjoy. the WiFi did not reach some of the rooms upstairs, causing inconvenience for guests who needed reliable internet access.
